Guidelines and Guarantee

The most important aspect of teaching is trust and the relationship between the teacher and student. For this reason, Walker English Academy follows a set of guidelines and issues a guarantee so that every student feels safe, comfortable and at ease from the moment you join us on your language learning journey.

At WEA, we are committed to providing high-quality English lessons tailored to help you achieve your language goals. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a lesson or our service, please contact us within 48 hours of your lesson, and we will work with you to resolve the issue, including the possibility of a makeup session or refund for that lesson.

 

Payment Policy

  1. Advance Payment: All lessons must be paid for in advance. Payment can be made via online bank transfer or in cash, and lessons will only be scheduled after payment is received.

  2. Packages and Discounts: We offer package deals for multiple lessons, which come with discounts. Packages are non-refundable but can be transferred to other individuals or credited towards future lessons, subject to approval.

  3. Late Payment: If payment is not made by the agreed deadline, lessons will be postponed until payment is received. Failure to pay within 7 days of the scheduled lesson will result in cancellation of the lesson.

 

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  1. Student Cancellations:

    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time to be eligible for rescheduling. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be considered forfeited, and no refund will be issued.

    • Emergency cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with options for rescheduling at the school’s discretion.

  2. Teacher Cancellations:

    • In the event a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, students will be notified as early as possible, and the lesson will be rescheduled at a convenient time or refunded if preferred.

Refund Policy

  1. Lesson Refunds: Refunds are only issued in cases where the school is at fault (e.g., technical issues on the teacher’s end, failure to provide the service as promised). Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the lesson.

  2. Package Refunds: Packages are non-refundable. However, if a student is unable to continue lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, credit for unused lessons may be applied toward future lessons or transferred to another individual upon approval.

  3. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes regarding refunds or lesson quality must be raised within 7 days of the lesson in question. We are committed to resolving all concerns fairly and promptly.

 

Attendance Policy

  1. Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time for their lessons. If a student is more than 10 minutes late, the lesson may be shortened, or considered forfeited, at the teacher’s discretion.

  2. Missed Lessons: If a student misses a lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be forfeited, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
